Ranieri Rues Blues' Luck

As it happened, Chelsea lost the match 3-2 with one of the most bizzare endings to a match. After the first 80 minutes produced just one goal, an unlucky own goal by Desailly, things suddenly started to pick up. Van Bronckhurst drilled home a second before Cudicini allowed Henry's shot to squirm through his grasp for number three just a minute later.

But Chelsea came back with goals through Stanic and Petit, the latter created by a David Seaman error. And Hasselbaink should have scored the equaliser but he failed to make contact with Gronkjaer's swinging cross.

Maybe Claudio does have a point... Anyway, here is Claudio with his views on the game: "If we'd had a little luck we could have drawn the match but the players showed great pride and fought a lot for every ball.

"We have never spoken about the title. Of course, everybody wants to win it, but it's important for us to continue with good football, although not necessarily in this way, maybe a luckier way."

With just 1 point in our last 3 games, this current run is similar to earlier in the season. Then, we drew at Fulham before losing to West Ham and Liverpool. Will we respond in the same manner as before? Only time will tell...
