Premier League's best forwards - ranked

The Premier League and iconic strikers go hand in hand. Thierry Henry. Alan Shearer. Ruud van Nistelrooy. The list goes on and on.

There's no shortage of lethal goalscorers in England's top flight right now, either.

So, shall we rank the Premier League's top ten forwards on current form? Let's get into 90min's placings...

10. Michail Antonio

From a winger to a wing-back to a fully fledged striker, Michail Antonio's rise to being one of the Premier League's best centre-forwards has been remarkable.

Antonio is a poacher in the box and a brilliant aerial threat, and he's now more important to the Hammers than he has ever been before.

9. Jamie Vardy

There's just no other striker in the Premier League like Jamie Vardy. Often lingering on the shoulder of the last defender, no one can keep up with the Leicester man.

Injuries have kept the former England international on the sidelines, but he's still managed nine strikes in 16 league appearances. Not bad.

8. Romelu Lukaku

Romelu Lukaku has said a few weird things over the past month or so. Yes mate, we understand you love Inter, but you play for Chelsea now.

Goals haven't been flying in for the Belgian, but he's a proven marksman in the Premier League and returned to England a better player after his short stint in Italy.

7. Harry Kane

A tumultuous summer doesn't seem to have done much for Harry Kane's goalscoring form this season.

The England captain has managed just five strikes in the Premier League but is never that far away from a purple patch. Watch this space.

6. Riyad Mahrez

It can be hard to truly recognise the brilliance of Manchester City's attackers at times - mainly because of how many stars they have in their ranks - but the one who is shining most brightly right now is Riyad Mahrez.

The Algerian has a wand of a left foot and his goalscoring returns have been reliable year on year at the Etihad.

5. Son Heung-min

At the start of the season when it looked like Kane could be on his way out of north London, Son Heung-min stepped up to become Tottenham's leading light.

An injury has kept him out recently but with excellent returns across the last six seasons, the South Korean is one of the Premier League's most reliable forwards.

4. Diogo Jota

Liverpool knew they were getting an excellent player when they brought in Diogo Jota from Wolves last season, but did they think he'd be this good?

Probably not. Jota has already bettered his league goal tally from last season this time around and will most likely add a bucketload to the ten strikes he's rattled in so far.

3. Sadio Mane

11 league goals last season was a bit of a disappointing return for Sadio Mane, which shows just how far he's progressed at Anfield in recent years.

Already sitting on eight for the current campaign, the Senegal international can be ruthless on his day and is a vital component of Liverpool's starting XI.

2. Cristiano Ronaldo

It hasn't been a season for truly prolific goalscoring as of yet, but Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Manchester United in the summer and has shown little sign of slowing up when it comes to hitting the back of the net.

No, he doesn't press from the front, but that's not really why the Red Devils signed him. The Portugal was brought in to provide a goal threat, and he's still doing that.

1. Mohamed Salah

There can't be any debates about top spot here, right? Mohamed Salah has been truly incredible since joining Liverpool from Roma in 2017, putting up terrifying numbers year after year, and he seems to only be getting better.

The Egyptian can score all types of goals and is the star attraction in an excellent Reds side. Right now, there's nobody in the Premier League who can touch him.
