The 20-year-old left-back has just returned from Colombia with the England Under-20 squad.
Gordon is yet to appear for Chelsea's first team but has spent time on loan with Scunthorpe, Kilmarnock and Tranmere.
He is unlikely to figure in Wednesday night's trip to Millwall but could make his Posh debut against Ipswich on Saturday.
