Sir Alex Ferguson is considering making a move for unsettled Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.
Lampard is rumoured to be unhappy with his position at Chelsea and feels undervalued by new boss Andre Villas-Boas.
United are in need of a new midfielder and Ferguson is ready to make a move for a player he has long admired.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, he wants to sign the England International in January.
The 33 year old has 18 months left on his contract at Stamford Bridge and would be able to move to Old Trafford for a minimal fee.
