Kluivert has played alongside Jimmy for Holland, and he reckons he could do it again at club level.

But reports from Spain suggest that Barca are unwilling to up their offer of £8 million, with Chelsea holding out for at least £10 million it would seem.

Yet Kluivert believes that the club should sign Jimmy, saying "He (Hasselbaink) is a great striker and a very good player.

"I believe we are compatible and we can play together. We have already done so in the Dutch team."

What a strike pairing that would be... It's just a shame that it couldn't be us benefitting from it although, until Barca raise their offer, they won't be either!
