JT Remains Defiant

JT, ever the optimist, has had few opportunities so far this season thanks to the stunning form of Marcel Desailly and William Gallas at the heart of the defence. But, after playing against Shrewsbury on Sunday, he may now have to contend with two games in three days. But it doesn't worry him a bit: "We are all professionals, all athletes and we will be fit enough to go into the game against Leeds, no problem.

"We are a lot more composed as a squad this season, a lot more confident. The team spirit this year has been a lot better which I think has been a big factor."

Terry added: "We are a good side and are confident of our abilities - I think most teams now worry more about us than we do them."

"I think we are still in with a chance in the championship race though of course it means we have to hope Manchester United and Arsenal slip up."

There is a fine line between confidence and arrogance- let's hope that Arsenal and Manchester United are on the wrong side of that line...
