Jesper: I Haven't Been Good Enough

The 25–year-old Danish winger is player of devastating potential, on his day Jesper’s attacks and pace truly petrify most defences and yet his lack of consistency continues to frustrate.

A frequent victim of Claudio Ranieri's rotation policy this season, the Dane is

first to admit that it is his own fault he cannot command a regular place in the starting line-up.

"I haven't been good enough, it's as simple as that," said Gronkjaer. "It's my own fault. If I had done well in each game then I would be in the line-up. It's like that and one should not be naive about it."

An honest and sincere comment from a player who can give us so much. If Jesper can match his honesty with a determination to improve then we have much to look forward to!
