With Scott Parker out until March, Jose Mourinho has openly suggested that he would move for a steady midfield player, preferably on loan. And Jarosik would appear to be perfect for Jose, having been able to see the Czech when Chelsea played CSKA Moscow in the Champions League group phase.

Jarosik told the Czech News Agency: "I only know that I am supposed to meet Mr Mourinho personally. I cannot foretell anything else, but the interest of such a club would please every footballer."

And his agent Pavel Zika confirmed: "I am optimistic, but the negotiations will take place tomorrow, the opinion of the coach will play a great role."

A six month loan deal is understood to be Chelsea's preference, but Roman will not be afraid to dip into his pockets if necessary.
