It's only six points for gawd's sake

Manchester United will be feeling the pressure now.
Following the festive period, Chelsea are just six points behind United and they still have to come to the Bridge.
Ideally, of course, the Blues would have liked to be 13 points ahead and strolling towards their third tile in a row, but circumstances have dictated otherwise and Jose will be asking Roman and Kenyon to add to his depleted squad this month by signing a couple of players.
A defender and striker are a priority, but don't expect world-class signings.
These players are, by and large, committed to their clubs and many are still in the Champions League.
I expect a couple of stop gaps to cover the holes - Matthew Upson at Birmingham springs to mind and Micha Richards at Manchester City.
This will cure our centre-back and right back problems.
But what about our attack?
Sheva is a nightmare and might never rediscover his AC Milan form. SWP, well lovely lad, but perhaps needs another season out on loan to get his confidence back.
Senor Fernando Torres at Athletic Madrid is my striker of choice.
