The best kept secret of the summer - the signing of Leicester City N'Golo Kante was confined on the day the Blues lost their first game under the stewardship of Antonio Conte.

The defensive midfielder was a £32million signing While Chelsea went down 2-0 in Austria against Rapid Vienna.

The 25-year-old is still on holiday' along with the other players involved in Euros 2016 But will join up with the rest for the tour to the USA.

Kante signed a five-year deal that will almost certainly see the end of Nemanja Matic"s second spell at Stamford Bridge.

Typical for a new signing, the Frenchman has made his "dream" move.

He said: "I am so happy to have signed for one of the biggest clubs in Europe. It’s a dream come true for me.

"The opportunity to work with Antonio Conte, a brilliant coach, and some of the best players in the world was simply too good to turn down.

"My first season in English football was very special and now I hope to go on to achieve even more during my time as a Chelsea player. I am looking forward to meeting up with my new team-mates and helping the club achieve a lot of success."

Chelsea finished 10th in the Premier League last season while Kane's club became Premier League champions.

Matic is expected to move to Italian side Juventus soon after when the transfer window opens on August 1.

Jose Mourinho could enter the race for Matic if they decided to end German midfielder  Bastian Schweinsteiger's time at Old Trafford.
