Chelsea will sign Samuel Eto'o, believes Chelsea-Mad.
The Cameroon striker, is expected at SW6 within 24-hours to take a medical.
The Blues and Eto'o club Anzhi Makhachkala are negotiating a loan deal for the former inter Milan, Barcelona hit man.
Eto'o will join Willian at Stamford Bridge who has joined the Blues subject to a work permit hearing on Wednesday.
The Blues have decided that the best option for them is to persue Eto'o and add him to their ranks because they are uncertain they can prise Wayne Rooney away from Manchester United in this transfer window.
Ideally Chelsea would have wanted Rooney signed and sealed but have been forced in to going for 32-year-old Eto'o as a stop gap.
The Blues will make a £40m offer for Rooney on Tuesday but they expect that will be rebuffed, They won't go any higher for the England striker as they feel that is the true value for a player who wants tro leave Old Trafford.
They will however go back for Rooney in the January transfer window.
