There was a time when England possessed an absolute embarrassment of riches in the centre-forward department.
Nowadays, the pool of strikers at the England manager's disposal certainly isn't as deep as it once was, but that's not to say there aren't some quality operators vying for a place in the Three Lions' Euro 2020 squad.
Let's take a look at who's out there.
8. Michail Antonio
Looks, we know he's not going to make the Euros squad - unless he scores 40 goals between now until the end of the season - but Michail Antonio has, at the very least, earned himself a mention in this list.
The West Ham striker is currently the only English striker who starts for a top six Premier League club. Yes, really.
7. Tammy Abraham
Tammy Abraham certainly doesn't lack ability, though it's his lack of regular football that's likely to hamper his chances of a place in Gareth Southgate's squad.
The 23-year-old has just ten Premier League starts to his name this season, though his six goals and two assists in said starts prove he's got plenty to offer.
If he can force his way into Thomas Tuchel's plans in the latter months of the season he could be in the reckoning, though with just 59 minutes worth of football played since the German's arrival, it doesn't look promising.
6. Patrick Bamford
The Leeds man recently admitted he'd have scoffed at suggestions he could receive an England call-up at the start of the season, but it's impossible not to mention his name given the campaign he's had.
12 goals and six assists in his 22 Premier League outings is some return considering the critics he faced prior to stepping back up to the top flight.
There's still a few strikers ahead of him in the pecking order but it's not out of the question.
5. Callum Wilson
The former Bournemouth man has struggled with injuries at times in his career, and the news that he's set for yet another spell on the sidelines after picking up a hamstring injury against Southampton is a bitter blow.
The Newcastle frontman has looked sharp this season when fit and was well on course to better his top-flight best of 14, though his inclusion in this summer's England squad may well come down to how long he spends out injured.
4. Ollie Watkins
It seems ridiculous to think that just three and a half seasons ago Ollie Watkins was playing in England's fourth tier.
The Aston Villa man has moved through the divisions with ease, and he's already into double figures in his maiden Premier League campaign.
Watkins is the kind of striker whose all-round game is so good you could throw him into just about any side and he'd have an impact, and his ability to adapt to those around him means he should be under serious consideration from Southgate.
3. Danny Ings
Danny Ings is another who's suffered some torrid luck with injuries throughout his career, though he proved just how clinical he can be in front of goal when given a consistent run in the team last season.
The Southampton forward is clearly in Southgate's thinking having made appearances in the clashes with Iceland and Wales last year, and his league form this campaign has done little to suggest he shouldn't be in the squad this summer.
2. Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been a regular in the Everton starting lineup for some time now, though his lack of goals has always been in issue - not anymore it's not.
Something seems to have just clicked for the former Barnsley man and under the guidance of Carlo Ancelotti he looks a completely different player.
The 23-year-old can be the focal point to a team's attack as well as being able to pick up scrappy tap-ins, and he's an absolute certainty for Southgate's squad.
1. Harry Kane
Who cares if he only has one ankle?
Tie both hands behind his back and force him to play in flip flops - Harry Kane is still the best centre-forward in England.
As long as his cardboard ankles hold up, the only thing more certain to be making an appearance at Euro 2020 is Southgate's naughty little waistcoat.
The Three Lions captain will be pivotal to England's chances of success, though the thought of him having to play so many games in the space of a couple of weeks makes our stomach drop.
Please don't get injured, Harry. Please.
