Chelsea preparing two different bids for Romelu Lukaku

Chelsea have prepared two different bids as they look to re-sign Inter forward Romelu Lukaku.

The Blues are desperate to bolster their forward options this summer and had previously been pursuing a deal for Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland.

90min exclusively revealed that Roman Abramovich was willing to spend as much as £150m on the hotshot frontman, though with no news of talks progressing the west Londoners have now turned their attention elsewhere.

Lukaku spent three years at Stamford Bridge earlier in his career, but having failed to cement his place in the starting XI he was shipped out on loan to both West Brom and Everton.

The Blues eventually cut ties with Lukaku in 2014 as he joined the Toffees on a permanent deal, while subsequent stints at Manchester United and Inter have seen him hone his craft and develop into one of the best strikers in Europe.

Thomas Tuchel is now keen to bring him back to Stamford Bridge and Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Premier League outfit have prepared two different bids as they look to begin negotiations with Inter.

The first is a player-plus-cash offer of €105m (£89m) plus Davide Zappacosta, but should the Italian champions reject that offer they've already prepared their second bid of between €110m-€115m (£93m-£97.5m).

The report adds that Chelsea expect I Nerazzurri to accept their second bid if not the first, with Lukaku seemingly edging closer to a return to Stamford Bridge.

The Belgium international is expected to be offered a five-year deal worth £212,000-a-week, meaning Chelsea will paying the eye-watering wage until Lukaku is 33 years of age unless they sell him in the meantime.

Inter's desire to raise transfer funds this summer has already seen them lose the services of Achraf Hakimi to Paris Saint-Germain for a reported €70m (£60m), and it seems they're now on the verge of offloading yet another key player from last season's Scudetto winning side.
