Chelsea predicted lineup vs Tottenham - Carabao Cup

Chelsea will look to finish the job against Tottenham on Wednesday in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final.

Kai Havertz and a Ben Davies own goal gave Chelsea a comfortable 2-0 win last time out, but the Blues will hope that their inability to bag four or five doesn't come back to bite them.

There aren't too many fresh injury woes for Thomas Tuchel to deal with, so here's the lineup he could go for.

Chelsea predicted lineup vs Tottenham - Carabao Cup

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Kepa Arrizabalaga (GK) - Edouard Mendy is away at the African Cup of Nations, so Kepa will keep his place.

Cesar Azpilicueta (CB) - Trevoh Chalobah is still unavailable and Thiago Silva is facing a race against time to recover from Covid-19, so Azpilicueta will keep his spot.

Andreas Christensen (CB) - Christensen has been dealing with a back injury but is expected to be back in time for this one.

Antonio Rudiger (CB) - The indefatigable Rudiger seems to be a permanent starter, and rightly so.

2. Midfielders

Callum Hudson-Odoi (RM) - Reece James is still out and we've seen a lot of people try to replace him. Hudson-Odoi should get another go.

Mateo Kovacic (CM) - Kovacic has been sensational in recent weeks, and although he might need a rest, he probably has to start this one.

Saul Niguez (CM) - Superb in the first leg, Saul deserves another chance to keep the good form going, which will give Jorginho another rest.

Marcos Alonso (LM) - Lewis Hall will be in contention here after a brilliant debut against Chesterfield, but this could be a step too far for the youngster.

Mason Mount (AM) - Mount's high press was so effective in the first leg so expect Tuchel to turn to him again.

Kai Havertz (AM) - Don't be surprised if this is more of a 3-5-2 with Havertz further up top alongside...

3. Forward

Romelu Lukaku (ST) - Lukaku seems to have recovered from the interview debacle, but another goal here wouldn't go amiss.
