It seems that Chelsea are quite prepared to do whatever is necessary to do what Manchester United are trying to do, bring a player home

Romelu Lukaku has been on the radar of Chelsea as they search for a striker capable of taking them back to the pinnacle of the Premier League.

New boss Antonio Conte is looking for a player capable of leading the charge as he looks to secure Champions League football for the 2017-18 season

Chelsea will have few distractions with any European competitions this season, enabling them to focus on Premier League success.

The Blues had a shocker last season after Jose Mourinho won them the Premier League title in his second season after his return but they failed to qualify for any European competition last season.

According to reports Chelsea are looking to make a final offer of £65million for Lukaku as well as offering Loic Remy to lubricate the deal and ensure Everton have a ready makeweight

The Blues had offered £57 million for the striker last week, an offer rejected by the Toffees who value their player at £75 million.

Lukaku was sold to Everton after spending two seasons on loan their from Chelsea for a club-record £28 million

Everton however seem in no mood to accept any approach from Chelsea and according to the Daily Star ready to resist like they did with John Stones

Lukaku has not been quiet about a move himself and keeping the player at Goodison Park will be a top priority in Ronald Koeman's inbox.

Chelsea had turned to Lukaku after failing in their bid to prise young Spanish sensation Morata from Real Madrid.
