Chelsea back in Champions League contention

Chelsea return to Champions League contention for next season with a fantastic victory over Manchester United tonight which put the Londoners back in contention for next season's Champions League.

The Blues completed a fine turnaround at half-time, trailing to a fine Wayne Rooney strike.

Goals from the outstanding David Luiz and a trademark penalty from Frank Lampard completed the comback.

Chelsea have 48 points from 27 games, one ahead of London rival Spurs.

Manchester City will be feeling the Blues breath down their necks as they are third two points ahead of Chelsea but have played a game more.

The big winners tonight were Arsenal who are now four points behind Manchester United with a game in hand.
