Chelsea defender Alex is not interested in a loan move to Juventus but has admitted he would love the chance to join the Italians permanently.

Alex is likely to find himself behind John Terry and David Luiz in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge this season and, as a result, will be allowed to leave for the right price.

Juventus, however, want to do a loan deal and that is something neither Chelsea nor Alex are interested in.

"I am aware of Juventus' interest, but I think they want to sign me on loan and this would not be a real alternative for me or Chelsea," Alex said.

"My agent has been contacted by Juventus, I am 29 years old and it would be a great opportunity. I would love to play in Italy and I hope I can realise this dream before I retire.

"When I talked to my agent, I told him that Juve would be a real opportunity for me.

"Now, though, it all depends on Juve, who must come to an agreement with Chelsea. It is unlikely the club will accept a loan move."
