Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has admitted he has no clear timeline for the return of midfielder Dario Essugo, who is currently sidelined following thigh surgery sustained on international duty.
The manager confessed he is not sure if the 20-year-old will be back before the new year, stating, "I don't know if the new year, I don't know, January, December, January."
While the injury is a setback, Maresca confirmed that the squad is well-stocked, with Romeo Lavia and Andrey Santos covering the position, allowing the club to take a cautious, step-by-step approach to Essugo’s recovery.
