The Blues have moved swiftly to secure their fourth permanent manager under the BlueCo ownership.
Liam Rosenior, who arrives from Strasbourg, has signed an extraordinary contract that runs until 2032. The 41-year-old coach led Strasbourg to European qualification last season and is seen as the ideal figure to bring long-term stability to Stamford Bridge.
Rosenior confirmed he had reached a verbal agreement with the club hierarchy before the official announcement on Tuesday.
He will be joined in London by his trusted assistants Kalifa Cisse and Justin Walker.
Speaking to the club website, Rosenior expressed his honour at joining a team with such a rich history.
He faces an immediate challenge as Chelsea aim to climb back into the top four following an inconsistent December. His first task will be overseeing training ahead of the FA Cup third round.
