Player Ratings: Spurs (h)

Petr Cech - Had very little to do except a few catches and punches. However, he did make one of the saves of the season from a point blank Robbie Keane header. Great relexes, not only to save it but to push it far enough away. 8

Paulo Ferreira - Had what was probably his best game for Chelsea so far. Made advances forward, was solid at the back and put in some telling crosses. 8

John Terry - Tex was as solid as ever and gave nothing away. He was rarely challengedby either Defoe or Keane, but stood firm when he was. Should've converted Lampard's second half corner with his diving header. 7

Ricardo Carvalho - Played very well and looks, like Gallas, to be more of a ball playing centre half. Again, like Terry, let nothing past him and was solid in the tackle on many occasions. 8

Wayne Bridge - Not one of his better games, still though, he gave little away but lacked any threat going forward. Looked more comfortable with Duff playing in front of him late on. 6

Tiago Mendes - A neat and tidy performance from our Portu-geezer. Should've done better with the few sights of goal he had, especially early on from Robinson's fumble. Looks to be gelling in very well and settling into both English football and Mourinho's style of play.

Frank Lampard - Like Tiago, was neat with his passing and play and spread the ball well. Needs to find his shooting boots. Put in one very good free kick and his overall corner and set piece delivery is excellent. 7

Claude Makelele - Playing much better than he did last season. Or maybe he isn't, its just that Mourinho's formation highlights his input. Who knows, but either way Claude has been a rock and a major factor in why we have only let in one goal all season! Note to Claude: Don't bother shooting! 8

Joe Cole - Ran well at the Spurs defence and scared them to death. Still lacks that final ball on occasions though. Replaced by Duff. 7

Eidur Gudjohnsen - Bit of an off day from Eidur. Lost the ball stupidly on several occasions and didnt support the attack of Kezman and Drogba later on. Unlucky to see his volley come back off Robinson's post. 7

Didier Drogba - Shows great promise but still seems clumsy and awkward in and around the box. Ran well at the defence at times but is still finding his feet in England. Sent a second half free kick well high of the mark and never really tested Robinson. 7

SUBS:

Duff - Ran well at the Spurs defence and looked our most likely source of a goal all day. 8

Kezman - Chelsea's resident pikey lunged at players and if he doesnt calm down soon he'll be seeing red! Seems to eager to impress and is trying to hard. His first goal will come as a relief. 6
