Nemanja Matic spared Chelsea blushes with a second half equaliser tonight at the Londoners drew 1-1 with Slovenians Maribor In the Champions League.

The midfielder popped up at the far post to tuck home the ball after John Terry knocked on  Cesc Fabregas corner With 17 minutes on the clock.

Chelsea were terrible in the first half with only Eden Hazard showing anywhere near top performance.

And to add salt into their wounds, they went behind to a wonderful strike by  Ibrami five minutes after the restart.

That was the kick up the pants the Blues needed.

Diego Costa hit the bar, they had a good goal disallowed and the Belgium midfielder Hazard will be frustrated that he missed a penalty to win the game Late on.

Jose Mourinho was not a happy bunny after the game.

"My thoughts are that we did not play well," he said.

"In the second half we played well and should have won the game.

"In the last 30 minutes, we had lots of chances to win it and their goalkeeper was magnificent.

"I was not happy with the team. So I made changes at half-time. But they scored,

"Eden Hazard was fantastic. He was the best player from our side.

"I think we deserved to win, but with his ref, I have a long story from my time In Italy.

"They fought fantastic for their team."
