Chelsea 0 - PSG 0

Thirteen points on the board for the Londoners, undefeated in Group H and the chance to give the reserves a run out all served Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho well.

No yellow cards, no injuries for Chelsea and with the re-introduction of Didier Drogba , back from injury, Chelsea took all the pluses they could from what could have been a difficult tie.

The first half saw Mateja Kezman miss a sitter after just 10 minutes when he sailed past the last French defender before shooting wide with the goal at his mercy.

Alexey Smertin, on 12 minutes had a shot on target but his effort was weak.

Paris, for their part reduced their attacking options to defend deep and had the occasional foray up front - Reinaldo had a couple of half chances on 16 and 24 minutes. And the same player almost gave the away side a shock goal, but on 45 minutes, his right foot shot hit the Chelsea side netting.

The second half was marginally better but Paris were definitely happier with the point. Chelsea tried to raise the tempo of the game and Frank Lampard had a couple of early chances - two left foot shots and a swerving right foot free kick which Joe Cole just failed to get a touch to was his major contribution to the game.

Mourinho brought on Drogba after 62 minutes and the former Monaco striker looked short of confidence and match fitness.

Paris had the lion's share of goal attempts in the second half with Edouard Cisse and Pauleta both shooting from long-range, albeit seeing their shots going to row Z of the North stand.

The best chance of the entire match fell to Drogba with nine minutes remaining. Put through by Duff , Drogba, with only the keeper to beat elected to shoot from just inside the penalty area - sadly for him, goalkeeper Lionel Letizi was equal to the effort and smothered the chance.

No goal, no excitement - Champions league, they are having a laugh.
