Cole Must Kick On

Anyone who watches Joe Cole regularly cannot deny that he is a damn fine player. Some of the things he does on the ball are simply breathtaking, and no one can take that away from him.

But until the boy starts doing it every week, he will forever be regarded as a wasted talent. Joe is often compared to Paul Gascoigne, but by Joe's age we had already seen Gazza take a World Cup by storm- and he had captured the hearts of the nation forever, despite never really reaching those heights again.

On the other hand, Joe has done very little in his career so far. Now is the time for him to strut his stuff, and walk the walk- because this year is shaping up nicely for Chelsea and if Joe can be a big part of that he will make a real name for himself.

There is talk of a move to Spurs or maybe even Everton, but what sense would that make? Perhaps he would see more first team football in the short term. But Chelsea is the club of tommorow, today (man that sounds cheesy!), and he will not gain this kind of exposure anywhere else!

What I am trying to say is, pull your socks up Joe and show Chelsea fans that kind of player that you can be for us! Don't be another wasted English talent...
