Who owns Mikel?

The saga of who owns the contract on John Obi Mikel is one that will run a tad bit longer, I fear.

Manchester United claim they have signed him. His former club, Lyn in Norway say he has signed for United, yet the 18-year-old is sitting in a LONDON hotel claiming that Chelsea have NOT contacted him.
Bizzare!

Okay, so why is the boy wonder sitting in a hotel room in London with an agent?

He says that he was not given the best advice and that he signed for United under pressure.

Do Chelsea want to sign him? Of course they do. Jose Mourinho claims he the best thing he has seen since sliced bread or some similar expression.
He has already trained at the Bridge.

The Premier League have being called in by Manchester United to sort out the wrangle with the full expectation that they will confirm that the boy is a United player.

But this is the murky world of international dealings, with a player requiring work permit, with at least three agents claiming parts of him - with two footballing giants wanting his services.

It's all so messy, But don't you just love it?

The season is all but over, but still Chelsea are in the news - long may it continue.
