What do you do on your day off?

Now we all know the boys lost last night in the dreaded penalty shoot-out in the Carling Cup.
That is all very well and good I suppose, it happens, etc etc.
But then of course it’s perfectly right to look at the line-up and ask: “Did Carlo get it right?”
We were without Cech, Ashley
Cole, Ricky, JT, Lamps, Essien and Anelka. Drogs was on the bench.
Chelsea face Manchester City away on Saturday and it clear that Carlo decided to give the boys some time off - rotation, whatever you call it.
That again is all well and good, if you win.
The side last night consisted of reserves and those considered not good enough for first team place on a regular basis.
It still managed a 3-3 draw after extra time.
Ballack and Kakuta screwed it up for us on the night.
But I wonder, in this day and age what supporters think, especially those who took time off work and spent a fortune and not inconsiderable time getting to and from Ewood Park if they were aware that our Frank will be at Harrods today on a promotion gig.
He will be at the store trying to flog iPods.
Now, it’s not just any iPod - our Frank is putting his name to a gold iPod.
Anyone who fancies shelling out nearly £400 quid, can have a Lampard-engraved one - just in time to fill the Christmas stocking.
Some of the cash will be going to charity.
Now, I wonder how many of our boys are out promoting themselves today?
How many of the rested players from last night?
I’m sure it’s all perfectly okay from the club’s point of view, but I wonder how many of the hundreds who travelled the length of the country will be feeling today?
John Terry is going to be giving his thoughts on England and everything for a national newspaper soon.
I have no doubt that our international boys all have various lucrative sidelines too which we in the UK never get to hear about.
When you compare these activities with those of Essien and Drogba who set up charitable foundations to improve conditions in their countries, there is a moral sense that this is a good thing to do when you are not playing or “rested”
But what are your thoughts on our boys taking advantage of their spare time to make extra dosh for themselves?
Have your say on the messageboard now.

PS, if you are interested in the gold iPod and the charity - have a look at the two sites concerned.
