What a depressing week for English sides in Europe

I don't know about you, but I so wanted Chelsea to be the only English side into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Our 3-2 aggregate win over Juventus was an excellent result. Two goals away from home, more than acceptable.
But how great would it have been, had Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal fallen by the wayside.
As it turn out only Liverpool of the four performed as if they had the will, and ability to take the trophy home.
Their four-nil hammering of Real Madrid was exceptional. Man Utd's victory against Inter Milan owed much to Inter's lack of luck in front of goal and Arsenal, well, c'mon, just how bad were they.
The chances are high that we will meet one of the English mob next.
If we do, then give me Arsenal. Liverpool look too good and United are too lucky. Arsenal fits the bill nicely. Yes, they play football as it was designed for PlayStation3, but in the real world, they look poor at the back leaving Drogba and Anelka to have a field day.
We have Essien and Carvalho back which is a nice bonus. But it's just the Chelsea way form us to lose John Terry and Michael Ballack. Actually losing Ballack might not be such a bad thing.
Not one of the numerous Chelsea managers we have had recently has managed to work out how to get the best out of the German captain.
And plenty of supporters are doubting the wisdom of playing him.
It just needs a fully fit Deco to start performing well for Ballack to feel his place is under pressure.
So, it's back home on Sunday and a little matter of three points needed against Manchester City.
It'll be nice to see Robinho play again.
I was up at Eastlands to watch the boys beat City and Robinho showed real class that day.
We need Liverpool to defeat United the day before for us to have an outside chance of nicking the title.
It's a crunch weekend.
