'Us, boring? You're having a laugh,' says JT

England defender John Terry has rubbished suggestions that Premiership champions Chelsea are boring.

Chelsea's superb defensive record and runaway Premiership lead have led to accusations of a negative approach.

Terry told Chelsea's matchday magazine: "We are playing well and we are not boring like some people are saying.

"I do not think the top players in the world would have voted three Chelsea players in the FIFPro World XI if we were boring."

Chelsea extended their 100% win record in the Premiership this season to seven matches on Saturday, even though Aston Villa punctured their run of six consecutive clean sheets.

The Blues' 10-point lead over fifth-placed Manchester United and six-point advantage over second-placed Charlton has caused some pundits to claim the title race is already over.

And their current domination of the domestic scene has led to accusations being laid at Chelsea's door that they are killing interest in the Premiership.

But Terry added: "How can any team be boring with Robben, Duff, Cole, Wright-Phillips, Drogba, Crespo, Lampard, Essien and Makelele in their ranks - or even Terry.

"Of course there will be boring games over the course of a season but not many.

"We are loving our football and there is nothing better than winning, whether it is 1-0 or 4-0, it is three points.

"You have to have top fitness, top quality, top mentality, top organisation and top team spirit.

"You can't just buy it, you have to have that in you and you have to mould it as well."
