Top communications boss resigns from Chelsea

Another member of Chelsea's top brass is leaving SW6 as the night of the long-knives continues.
Director of communications Simon Greenberg is off.
Well, he's resigned but apparently hanging on until the end of the year.
Greenberg was appointed by ousted chief executive Peter Kenyon from the London Evening Standard where he was sports editor in 2004 for a reported £200k a year salary.
He said at the time:"To be a key part of the most exciting football project in years was an opportunity just too good to pass up and I am looking forward to working with the great team of people who are already at Stamford Bridge, on and off the pitch".

He was in charge of a media revolution at Stamford Bridge nicknamed ChelseaPravda by some cheeky insiders.

Greenberg's appointment of Steve Atkins as head of press relations was seen by many media watchers as an inspired move, and certainly media relations has never being so good since Atkins rocked up on the Fulham Road from his former diplomatic post in Washington.

No appointment has being made for Greenberg's replacement but there won't be a shortage of candidates, I'm sure.
Even Chelseapravda's official website has yet to catch up with events and announce it - perhaps Simon hasn't informed them - OUCH!
