RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner - who has long been linked with a move to Liverpool - has agreed to join Chelsea in a sensational, out of the blue €60m deal.
Werner has been in sensational form for Julian Nagelsmann's side this season, netting 25 Bundesliga goals in just 29 appearances.
His scoring exploits have unsurprisingly caught the attention of some of Europe's top clubs with Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Inter all being linked with the German. However, it had seemed that Liverpool was his most likely destination after he publicly praised Jurgen Klopp and his squad.
However, according to leading German publication Bild, Werner hasn't heard from Liverpool for some time - with the Reds' interest appearing to have cooled due to the financial uncertainty created by the coronavirus crisis.

Chelsea have capitalised on this and Telegraph journalist Matt Law has moved to confirm that Werner has agreed to join the club. The Blues want the former Stuttgart man to became the face of the club and are thought to have triggered the €60m release clause in his Leipzig contract.
Bild's information is that Werner could end up signing a contract until 2025, earning a whopping €10m-per-year.

Head coach Lampard, who replaced Maurizio Sarri in the dugout last summer. has been chasing a striker for some time. He's previously targeted Lyon frontman Moussa Dembele, as he looks for added competition for first choices striker Tammy Abraham, but has instead had to keep Olivier Giroud on the books.
In Werner, he'd sign not only a prolific centre forward, but a player capable of providing versatility by playing on both wings.
Both Liverpool and Chelsea return to action next month, with the former just two wins away from clinching their maiden Premier League title. They could even win it by defeating Everton in their first game back, as long as Manchester City lose to Arsenal on 17 June. The Blues, meanwhile, are focussed on qualifying for next season's Champions League.
