The Chelsea lineup that should start against Arsenal on Boxing Day

Chelsea face the prospect of a mouthwatering London derby on Boxing Day as they travel north to take on struggling Arsenal.

After a minor blip in form, with losses to Everton and Wolves in the Premier League, Frank Lampard's men got back to winning ways last time out with a comfortable 3-0 win over West Ham at Stamford Bridge.

That got the Blues back on the cusp of the top four, and Chelsea now face up against a Gunners side who are going through a tough time to say the least. Mikel Arteta's side are 15th, and have lost eight of their 14 Premier League games played.

Here, 90min picks the Chelsea side that could pile on further misery.

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Edouard Mendy (GK) - The summer signing from Rennes has established himself as Chelsea's number one, having kept six clean sheets in ten Premier League games so far.

Reece James (RB) - It's touch and go whether James will be available on Boxing Day. He's first choice, but Cesar Azpilicueta is waiting in the wings incase.

Kurt Zouma (CB) - The Frenchman has found consistency this campaign and looks a real force at the back. A worthy starter against Arsenal on Saturday.

Thiago Silva (CB) - The former Paris Saint-Germain defender scored the opening goal against West Ham and has given Lampard some much needed experience in central defence.

Emerson (LB) - Ben Chilwell came off early against West Ham with an ankle injury and is doubtful to play against Arsenal. Emerson came on in his place and will likely do the same on Boxing Day.

2. Midfielders

N'Golo Kante (DM) - The Frenchman was excellent against West Ham, ending the game with a pass accuracy of 90%. The glue that holds everything together.

Mateo Kovacic (CM) - Jorginho featured from the start against West Ham, but struggled to get a grip on proceedings in midfield. The Blues looked better when Kovacic came on, and a start should be his reward.

Mason Mount (CM) - A regular fixture in Lampard's start XI, Mount is almost certain to start again after bagging an assist last time out.

3. Forwards

Christian Pulisic (RW) - The United States international has been a bright spark after returning to fitness, and could get the nod again here before returning to the bench.

Tammy Abraham (ST) - Olivier Giroud is in great touch, so it's a difficult choice for Lampard up top. Abraham netted twice against West Ham though, and it's hard to see his boss dropping him off the back of that performance.

Timo Werner (LW) - The German has admitted to going through a slight crisis in confidence, but he's too good to continue struggling for much longer. His pace and movement will trouble Arsenal's shaky defence.
