John Terry will play tonight against Valencia in the Champions League group match.
Avram Grant will risk his captain's health by allowing the headstrong Terry to play with a mask following surgery to his fractured cheekbone.
Other players have done so, Paul gascoigne for England, but Paul was a midfielder who could keep out of trouble.
Terry is a centre-back who will be coming forward to attack the ball, will be in line of fire to recieve special rough-house treatment from Valencia and, in essence, is risking his health and the team's ability to defend in a vital match.
Grant's error of judgement to allow Terry to play could have serious reprecussion's on Chelsea'a progression in this season's Champions League.
Frank Lampard is still injured while Michael Essien will also be risked.
