Real Madrid
Bale? Suarez? Cavani? Falcao? Neymar? 5 enormous star targets, 0 star signings. But after years of silly Galacticos spending, Real?s summer has been refreshing so far. Signing hungry young Spaniards shows that there must be a long-term plan for new boss Carlo Ancelotti. In Isco he?s found a gem of a player, while Asier Illiaramendi is touted as Xabi Alonso?s successor. In Dani Carvajal they have one of Europe?s most exciting young full-backs. Their new approach to transfers will mean lowering the wage bill, reducing egos and possibly forging a proper Real identity in the team. They?re rightfully playing hardball over Gonzalo Higuain, and have gotten rid of Raul Albiol and Ricardo Carvalho.

Chelsea
Jose Mourinho has been flirting with Wayne Rooney all week, but Manchester United are having none of it. The Special One wants the Angry and Confused One to be his main man at his Chelsea 2.0. He?s also signed Andre Schurrle from Bayer Leverkusen BECAUSE CHELSEA DON?T HAVE ENOUGH PLAYMAKERS/WINGERS and youngster Marco Van Ginkel, who could join Chelsea?s loan club. Besides, Mourinho claims he has no other targets, but since it?s Mourinho that means Chelsea will unveil 5 new players this week. They still need to replace John Obi Mikel, who wants to join Didier Drogba at his Turkish Gala. Mourinho, after his horrible experience with Real Madrid academy graduate Iker Casillas, has decided he needs to remove Juan Mata, simply for being a Real Madrid Academy Graduate. They need more in holding midfield, and still need a hungry, young, likeable striker, or Rooney.

Enormous defensive problems, constantly conceding goals, and having a shirt with MASCHERANO on it. Barcelona know they need to improve their defense, so they decided to solve the problem by signing Neymar, and bidding for Sergio Aguero and Wayne Rooney. No, me neither. Thiago Silva remains a target, but PSG, want to ensure they have some star player left over for Arsene Wenger to sell for them next summer. Definitely need reinforcements at the back but at least Victor Valdes isn?t leaving this summer. Neymar can still be a world-class signing though.

Borussia Dortmund
After selling Mario Gotze, Dortmund have decided to stop Lewandowski from moving to Bayern, because what they need is a player desperate to play for a direct rival sulking all season. To ensure he doesn?t run away, they?ve signed Pierre Emerick-Aubemayang, who?s so quick Usain Bolt is relieved he chose football. Henrik Mkhitaryan and Sokratis WhatsHisName add to a fantastic summer in the Ruhr Valley. The club have gone about their business excellently to limit the harm caused by Bayern?s transfer policies.

Bayern Munich
Possess a near-flawless treble winning squad possibly at the start of their glory era. Add Pep Guardiola and Mario Gotze because who likes competition. Next season?s Bundesliga trophy might as well be handed out on the opening day to Bayern. Also Thiago has decided he is sick of sitting on Barcelona?s bench and has flown over to sit on Bayern?s bench instead. Ah, those Audi seats.

Manchester United
After being given the biggest job in football on the basis of his Everton work, David Moyes has decided to recreate that at the former home of Ronaldo and Cantona, signing 1 player all summer and sending him back to South America on loan. Phil Neville is United?s biggest new name, and he?s a coach. Ouch. Want Fabregas, Ronaldo, Bale, Modric, Lewandowski, Fellaini and Baines, because Moyes can now enquire about them without being laughed at. Oh, and Wayne Rooney is not for sale. A disastrous summer so far at Old Trafford, with Moyes struggling to build excitement amongst United supporters.

Manchester City
Txiki Begiristain was brought in partly to ensure City received value for money in their summer signings. Manuel Pellegrini was brought in despite probably not knowing what ?holistic? means and they?ve started their summer by spending ?30m on a guy who has never played for Brazil and looks exactly like Ramires and ?24m on a guy who?s behind Torres in Spain?s pecking order. At ?17m Jesus Navas is a shrewd signing though, while City are close on Stevan Jovetic. Definite improvement from last season despite the heavy overspending on players.

Arsenal
Has bucket-loads of money?needs top class striker- signs Yaya Sanogo. Alan Harper has spent more than Arsenal have all summer. Wenger was close to signing Higuain, before realizing he costs ?37 million, not just ?37 pounds. Good try, Arsene.

PSG
Ancelotti left, Leonardo left, Thiago Silva wants out, as does Zlatan. Laurent Blanc managed to sign Cavani though, but a heavily unsettling summer in Paris, and this is before FFP comes in.

Juventus
Signed Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente, 2 fantastic strikers who will surely win a 3rd straight Scudetto. Angelo Ogbonna is a magnificent bargain buy, while keeping Arturo Vidal is extremely important to an ever-improving side.
