Rocastle Remembered Update!

Last updated : 17 November 2003 By Rich Godden
Yet another record broken for the David Rocastle Remembered team! Just four days after setting a new team record for computing time donated in a day (135 days) we've gone and broken it again! On the 14th of November we contributed no less than 139 days, 4 hours, 25 minutes and 39 seconds of CPU time to the Grid.org cancer research project. The days effort was also our highest points total ever (points are a measure of how much work the team has put in) at 48,629 pts.

To put our new record in perspective, 139 days is four and a half months. Thats over a third of a year of computing time contributed in a single 24 hours.

The team is currently averaging around 110 days CPU time per day, a figure that has been boosted by the new recruits who have pushed our membership well past 400.

We have duly arrived as a top 100 team (by CPU time), having contributed almost 120 years of computing time to the project. To put that in some context, Grid.org has 36,689 teams, comprising a total of 301,207 members.

So once again, congratulations to all team members, keep up the good work!
