Loic Remy is poised to make the short trip across west London from Loftus road to join Chelsea in a £10milion three-year deal.

The French striker has suddenly found himself in demand at Stamford Bridge following the finalisation of a two-year loan move of Fernando Torres to AC Milan this weekend.

Jose Mourinho is desperate to add a third atriker to his squad with Diego Costa and Didier Drogba already settled at SW6.

But with those two considered to be powerhouse frontmen, Mourinho is keen to add serious pace and mobility to his striker options And Remy, 27, apparently fits the bill.

Remy spend last season on loan at Newcastle United who wanted to make his move permanent.

He was due to sign for Liverpool in the summer but is reported to have failed a medical.
