Paris Saint-Germain & Chelsea Linked With Swap Deals for Miralem Pjanic

Miralem Pjanic has been touted as a potential makeweight in future Juventus transfer business, with both Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea linked with potential swap deals for the Bosnian.

Despite being part of the side sitting top of the Serie A table - with Pjanic featuring in 22 of I Bianconeri's fixtures - the midfielder has 'enjoyed' one of his most underwhelming seasons to date.

His dip in form seemingly hasn't put other clubs off his trail though, with a few sides being linked with signing the 30-year-old, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Italian journalist has claimed that a potential Ligue 1 return could be one the cards, reuniting Pjanic with the division he previously plied his trade in with Metz and Lyon. This time, PSG have been mentioned as a possible new suitor, in a deal that could include Leandro Paredes going the other way.

Since joining from Zenit St. Petersburg for an initial €40m in January 2019, the Argentine midfielder has struggled to nail down the regular starting berth, making just 17 league appearances this (or should I say last?) season.

PSG are not 'totally refusing' the idea of some form of swap deal, but it is stated that talks are only at a very early stage.

Perhaps a Premier League move could be on the cards? It is added that Chelsea remain a 'possibility', with the rather outlandish claim that they could include Jorginho in any potential deal which, by all accounts, would be a ludicrous move to swap a player two years younger and in form for someone who has looked a shadow of himself this season.

Finally, Di Marzio also mentions that Barcelona's Arthur is player of interest to Juve, although trying to lure him away from Camp Nou poses a far more difficult task. The player has repeatedly expressed his desire to remain in La Liga, and the prospect of throwing Mattia De Sciglio into the mix alongside Pjanic is unlikely to tempt Barça's hand.
