Norwich City vs Chelsea: TV channel, live stream, team news & prediction

Plenty has changed for Chelsea and Norwich City since the Canaries' obliteration at Stamford Bridge back in October.

Daniel Farke was replaced in the Norwich dugout by Dean Smith soon after the 7-0 drubbing, and then-Premier League leaders Chelsea - who looked unstoppable - have slipped to third and are out of contention in the title race.

Having briefly shown the green shoots of recovery under Smith, four defeats on the spin mean Norwich are pretty much doomed - six points from safety with the season dwindling. Chelsea, meanwhile, exist in a strange limbo between the top two and chasing pack, with little chance of being caught or catching up.

Here's everything you need to know about this latest match on the road to the inevitable for these two...

Norwich City team news

Billy Gilmour won't be able to feature against his parent club, giving his manager Dean Smith something of a selection headache in midfield.

Centre-back Ozan Kabak could make his return from a shoulder problem, although even when fit the Turkey international hasn't made a Premier League appearance since Boxing Day.

Young Irish defender Andrew Omobamidele remains absent with a lower back injury, while his compatriot Adam Idah is out for the season following surgery on his knee.

Chelsea team news

Spanish defenders Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso have both returned to training following two matches out with a knock and Covid-19 respectively. Callum Hudson-Odoi is also back on the grass after an Achilles problem.

Ben Chilwell is the Blues' only long-term absentee as he continues his recovery from surgery on a damaged ACL.

Head coach Thomas Tuchel has said it is 'possible' Reece James features again as he continues to be eased back from a hamstring tear.

Norwich City vs Chelsea head-to-head record

Norwich haven't beaten Chelsea in the Premier League in 28 years, which should tell you the head to head weighs heavily in the favour of the west Londoners - although it's perhaps not as bad as you'd expect for the Canaries.

In 57 meetings since the first in 1936, there have been 14 Norwich wins, 25 Chelsea wins and 18 draws.

The 7-0 dismantling in the reverse fixture was probably a low point for the Norfolk side, though.

Norwich City vs Chelsea score prediction

While the atmosphere of Carrow Road under the lights will (hopefully) ensure this is a sterner test for Chelsea than the 7-0 drubbing in the reverse fixture, you just feel there will only be one winner here.

Norwich's mid-January form has dissolved and a run of four consecutive league defeats has seen them return to the foot of the Premier League table as the season ebbs away.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have looked improved in recent weeks, winning their last three league games without conceding a goal - although bizarrely those results came across three different months.

Score prediction: Norwich 0-2 Chelsea
