Moscow visa application - vital advice

Last updated : 28 April 2008 By Paul Lagan
Don't wait until Thurdsay morning to try and get a visa to Moscow - you might not get it.
If you are planning to go to the Champions League final in May, where hopefully the Blues will be taking part, then you will need a visa. In fact you might need an extra "invitation to Moscow" document before you even get the visa.
But with a selection of bank holidays in both the UK and Russia kicking in, your application might not get processed in time.
My Moscow source is informing me that it's best you don't wait until the second leg semis are decided.
"Do it now or at least by Tuesday," he said.
"Officially it takes seven days to process the visa. But you might need another document called an invitation, this is more difficult to get hold of.
"I suggest anyone wishing to go to the game to sort out their visa applications as soon as possible."
Now Liverpool are ever-helpful and have already provided information on their website.
Chelsea? Well, this is Chelsea afterall and no information is available online.
It might very well be that should the boys defeat Liverpool on Wednesday night and reach the final on May 21, many Chelsea supporters will find themselves unable to get to Moscow.
Chelsea-mad's advice? Sort it out now.
