Mata leaves, it's official folks!

Who would have thought it, Juan Mata has been sold to Manchester United?
The Spain midfielder will sign a four and a half year deal with the red half of Manchester and £37m is heading it's way down the motorway to SW6.

The club announced the fact this evening, but of course, Chelsea-Mad and just about the whole world has being talking about it all week.
Michael Essien also left Stamford Bridge today to sign for Italian giants AC Milan. Essien's departure is a further indication of the redesigning of Chelsea's midfield for the coming seasons.
Salah and Matic's arrival this month is a further indication that the Blues are intent on lowering the age of the squad, while providing extra speed and power.

Young Josh McEachran, headed off up to Wigan to develop his game as as well in a busy week for Chelsea.

Nathan Ake was moved up from the U-21 squad to join the seniors for the remains of the season.
