Man Utd & Chelsea Seal Champions League Qualification - Leicester & Tottenham Reach Europa League

Chelsea and Manchester United secured qualification for the Champions League with victories on the final day of the 2019/20 Premier League season.

Leicester and Tottenham will enter the Europa League after finishing fifth and sixth respectively, with seventh placed Wolves facing a nervy wait over a potential spot in Europe's secondary competition.

Arsenal, who beat Watford 3-2 in their final game, will qualify for the Europa League if they beat Chelsea in the FA Cup final next week.

If the Gunners are triumphant at Wembley, Wolves would need to win the Europa League to ensure they play continental football next season. That eventuality would also mean the Premier League would have five representatives in the Champions League.

United started the day in third, just needing to avoid defeat at Leicester to secure Champions League football, with Chelsea in a similar situation before their Stamford Bridge clash with Wolves.

The Blues took a 2-0 lead just before half time in their clash with Wolves, with Mason Mount and Olivier Giroud calming the nerves in south west London. That scoreline remained the same at full time.

United were lethargic in their vital clash with Leicester, but Bruno Fernandes' penalty and Jesse Lingard's late strike ensured the Red Devils won 2-0 at the King Power Stadium. They'll return to the Champions League next season at the expense of Brendan Rodgers' Foxes.

Tottenham could only draw at Crystal Palace, though their superior goal difference means they nabbed sixth ahead of Wolves.

Tottenham will compete in the Europa League next season

Premier League champions Liverpool and runners-up Manchester City had already secured their spots in Europe's elite club competition for next season.

Chelsea and City are both still in this term's Champions League, with second legs against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid respectively to take place in August, while Manchester United and Wolves are among the favourites to win the Europa League.
