Makelele Wants Rest

Since arriving from Real Madrid in the summer, in a deal worth nearly 17 million pounds, Claude has been nearly an ever present.

Even when he was rested, Makelele ASKED to come on at half time, to fill holes he was seeing in our back line!

"I have read the manager compare me to a battery in a watch," said Makelele.

"It's funny how, so far as I know, you change the batteries from time to time, don't you? Well not me.

"It was just as crazy from Ranieri as my debut. He asked me to be on the bench.

"I wasn't supposed to be coming on, but at half time the boss said 'Claude, you're going to go on for a bit'. We were winning 2-1. It was mad. Why put me on?"

Maybe its an English thing! Frank Lampard is our only ever fully present player in the Premiership, and says he will be knocking on Ranieri's door demanding an explination, should he be rested!!!

"Claudio's rotation policy can affect the players and they get angry," explained Lampard.

"If he did rest me for a few games, maybe I'd bang his door down - I love to play every game and if you don't, you get frustrated.

"Sometimes you play, sometimes you don't. The most important thing is that Chelsea win."

It was also stated that Claude is unhappy with:

Harlington, Chelsea's awful training ground.
The rotation policy that he is NOT included in,
Home sickness and finally .........
his near miss with a London bus!

Is this the foreigners mentality? Frank Lampard wants to play every game, Makelele whinges because he wants a rest!
