Maka in France Euro 2008 squad

Claude Makelele has being named in the French squad for the Euro 2008 qualifiers against Georgia and Italy.

It was widely felt Maka would retire after the World Cup this year.
He had previously retired from internationmal football but came out of it to propel France into this tear's finals in Germany.

France play Georgia away on September 2 before a re-match of the World Cup Final against Italy in the Stade de France on September 6.
