LMA Slate Chelsea

Claudio has had to deal with constant speculation regarding his job ever since Roman Abramovich bought the club, yet the club have rarely revealed their stance on the whole situation.

And LMA (League Managers' Association) chief John Barnwell said "The speculation has been there prior to the majority of Chelsea's games this season.

"If that situation is there, why doesn't the football club come out and clearly state their intentions? They probably think that's not their responsibility. They are employing him, he's got a contract with them, so they don't need to say anything.

"It's not a good situation for a manager to be in but Claudio comes out of it with a lot of credit.

"The thing about what's happening at Chelsea is that it's a complete one-off. They've gone from one type of management off the field to having a bottomless pit and they can afford whoever they like.

"There's nothing Sven can say that he hasn't already said. The Eriksson rumour is fuelling the Ranieri one and the story will just burn and burn."

So do us all a favour, Mr Kenyon- give us some clarification with regards to Claudio's future!
