Leicester vs Chelsea: TV channel, live stream, team news & prediction

The Premier League returns this weekend, with Leicester City and Chelsea facing each other in Saturday's lunchtime fixture.

The Foxes will host the tie desperate to get their season back on track. Prior to the international break, Brendan Rodgers' side followed a promising run of four straight victories in all competitions with three games without a win. A 2-0 defeat to Arsenal was followed by 1-1 draws to both Spartak Moscow and Leeds United last time out.

Compared to the hosts' mediocre standing of 12th in the Premier League table, Chelsea have looked colossal all campaign and occupy top spot. The Blues were, however, somehow held to just a point at home to Burnley immediately before international duty, although the seven straight wins before that show what kind of mood they're in.

Here's 90min's preview of this clash.

Leicester team news

Youri Tielemans was forced off with a calf issue in the Foxes' last outing against Leeds and is a major doubt to be able to return for the visit of Chelsea having withdrawn from international duty with Belgium.

Wesley Fofana, Ryan Bertrand and James Justin are certainties to miss out, while Marc Albrighton - despite making strides in his recovery from a leg problem - is reportedly still not ready to get back to match action.

Chelsea team news

Chelsea's headline absentee in recent weeks has been record signing Romelu Lukaku. The good news for Blues fans is that the Belgian isn't too far away from a return, having resumed training, although the trip to Leicester this weekend should be too soon for a comeback.

It looks as though Timo Werner and Mateo Kovacic will remain out of contention, having been forced to miss international duty with problems sustained prior to the break.

Meanwhile, however, Kai Havertz should be fit to play on Saturday after a minor doubt while away with Germany and Mason Mount should be able to take a break from comedy and make a return to action following problems with his wisdom teeth.

Leicester vs Chelsea head to head record

These two sides have a long history together, having met 120 times before - the first encounter coming in 1905. Chelsea have dominated the fixture, coming out on top 58 times compared to Leicester's victory tally of 28 (34 draws).

In recent years, it's been more even. Since the start of 2018, the two clubs have met ten times, each winning three and drawing four times. The Blues beat the Foxes most recently, although the one meeting neither side will forget in a hurry was May's FA Cup final, in which Tielemans' wonder goal sealed Leicester's first ever Cup triumph.

Leicester vs Chelsea score prediction

Much like the FA Cup final, Leicester will go into this one as the underdogs. While Rodgers' men have disappointed, Tuchel's side have bossed the large majority of their opponents throughout the campaign.

Even without Lukaku's presence up top, Chelsea have looked deadly clinical for the most part and, aiming to continue their blistering form, will likely remain as frighteningly creative and sharp in forward areas.

It's going to be a huge test for Leicester's back line, who have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last ten. However, with the quality they possess going forward, they pose a real threat to whoever they face. Jamie Vardy may not have a goal in his last four, but he notoriously loves playing against the big sides.

It should be an intriguing encounter but, unfortunately for the hosts, you just can't not back Chelsea at the moment.

Prediction: Leicester 1-2 Chelsea
