Leicester man in the frame for big-money move to London

Leicester have undoubtedly been the surprise package this season and have thoroughly deserved their high flying position but as Southampton have found this does bring interest from the bigger clubs in the players that have go them there

In the case of Leicester, despite their great overall team play it is difficult to ignore the duo of Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy.

Mahrez has recently been linked with a move to Manchester United with reports of a £29m bid being proposed by the Metro but unsurprisingly he has been linked with Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.

With Leicester paying a bargain £400k from French club Le Havre in 2014 they could decide to collect what would be a huge windfall for the 24-year-old Algerian.

The Sheffield-born Vardy is a slightly different proposition and has moved from playing football in the Conference with Halifax in 2012 to breaking records in the Premier League in 2015 and at 29 represents less of an investment in the future and move of a move to capitalise on a player in form right now.

For Chelsea, the situation with either player would suite them if Leicester decided to sell as both would eligible to play in the Champions League but would Leicester City risk a memorable season to cash-in on their success in the league?

There has been little real indication that the player would move although the odds have been slashed with Charlie Austin suggested as a possible replacement according to the Metro.
