Weekend reports suggest that the Madrid giants had tabled a £20m plus Michael Owen deal for the Chelsea and England playmaker.
But it's a case of Barcelona or nothing for our Frank.
Chelsea turned down the audacious bid, but they need not have bothered, because Elen Rives, who just happens to be Frank's girlfriend would have told him the very idea would have caused an all-mighty domestic row.
Elen is a rabid Barcelona fan and is from that fabulous city and with such fierce rivalry between the two Spanish teams, Frank would have a torrid time at home.
So rest easy, Chelsea fans, Frank is going nowhere yet.
But if Barca come calling, it could be a very different outcome.
