Lampard Hopeful Of New Deal

25 year old Lampard is known as a goal-scoring midfielder, but not even him could have expected himself to bag 3 goals for England in Euro 2004! The perfect three as well, a lheader, left foot and right foot!

And all Frank wants, and deserves, is parity with the club's top earners. Since his £11 million switch from London rivals West Ham, Frank has been our most frequent appearance maker and also our most consistant.

When asked when the new deal may be concluded, Frank said, "Soon I hope. My agent has been speaking to Peter Kenyon."

"I definitely want to sign and the club want to sign me I think. Hopefully, we will get it done by the start of the season."

Inter Milan were said to be interested in the England international, but Lampard wants to stay at Chelsea and win things, and is already looking forward to the season ahead.

"There is a real freshness about the side this year," he continued.

"The training is very enjoyable, very hard work. I think the new signings are exciting. I've had three weeks or so (on holiday), I'm raring to go.

"Last summer we got some good young English players.

"The most important thing now is that Chelsea want to sign good players.

"It doesn't matter if they are English or not, as long as they do the job for Chelsea."

If Crespo was on £90,000 a week, then Lamps should be on at least that! He and JT are our most important players, and will both hopefully be at Chelsea for the rest of their careers.
