Chelsea's emerging young midfielder Joe Keenan broke his leg last night whilst playing in the reseves game against Arsenal. Depending on the extent of the break, he may face months on the sidelines.

During today's pre-match press conference Claudio Ranieri confirmed that Joe Keenan suffered the break to his leg during the reserves clash against Arsenal at Barnet last night.

Keenan (19), who has yet to make a full start for the first team, although he has appeared numerous times on the bench, must now wait anxiously on the x-ray results which will conclude the extent of the damage sustained to his leg.

We all hope that the break will not prove too bad and that the young midfielder will a make a speedy recovery and return.
