John Terry may miss Saturday's FA Cup Final against Portsmouth at Wembley.
The Chelsea skipper is feared to have broken a metatarsal bone on his right foot in training.
JT went straight to hospital for a scan following the incident at the Cobbham training complex today.
If Terry, 31, failes to recover in time - he would also be a doubt for England in the World Cup which is just a month away.
A Chelsea source confirmed that Terry: "Left Cobham walking freely in a protective boot, and we await the results which are expected on Thursday.
"The scan is precautionary."
