Jose: "We are happier than Spurs"

Chelsea and Spurs served up a feast of FA Cup football with an amazing game ending at 3-3.
The boys came back from a 1-3 deficit to draw the match and set up a replay at White Hart Lane on Monday week.
But what did the respective manager's have to say about it?
Jose headed off to watch Valencia on Sunday afternoon but not before giving us these words of wisdom.

"It was a great game with many mistakes. This is always the case when there are so many goals in a game.

"We made defensive errors but showed great spirit.

"We have to be happy. We were out of the FA Cup at half time, but we deserve the replay.

"The players accepted the need to take risks.

"The referee Mike Riley did not give us any decisions in midfield. I spoke politely with him at half time but he told me to let him get on with his job - he was even worse in the second half.

"To be fair the decisions were not major ones but we have a had a few problems with him this season at Liverpool and Reading.

"I hope next time he will be better.

"I spoke a few abusive words in Portuguese but I say it 50 times a day and it's not intended to be abusive it's just a word.

"John Terry has a long-term contract until 2010, the same as me. I hope he stays until 2015 it will be good for John and good for Chelsea.

"I hope to have a few more FA Cup chances - we survived today and I am sure we are happier than them.

The replay is a new game. They played well they have great attacking players. I like to play against them, they are difficult but I like them."

Dutchman Martin Jol who looks like an extra from The Sopranos and acts just like one said: "We were confident we would win. But perhaps it was too easy.

"But we needed that fourth goal - we should also have had a penalty and Defoe hit the bar.

"But we had problems with Berbatov with a groin strain and kept him on.

"Chelsea's first goal was lucky, their second, well, we seem to lack concentration at that point.

"But we had tired legs out there in the end.

"I used the tactic of playing Lennon in the diamond once this season when we scored five against Charlton.

"But there were a lot of positive things happening - that's 20 goals in six matches now.

"I had a word with the referee at half time, telling him not to let the crowd influence him. But we just seemed to get players booked all the time.

"Arjen Robben is a great player. I am Dutch and he's the most talented player in the Premiership. With the way he is balanced, it's easy for him to fall over, but he does not dive.

"We are playing better at home than away so I'm confident about the result for the replay."

So there you have it, perhaps the most exciting game since Barcelona were defeated here 4-2 - what do you think?
