Jose has pop at fans

Jose Mourinho took a swipe at his own supporters following the 5-1 thrashing of Bolton Wanderers yesterday.

Dispite paying £50 quid a seat or more, Mourinho still felt that they should have given even more to the club.

It's almost a case of 'not singing when we're winning'.
Right at the end of his post-match press conference he said:
"They, [the fans] should push us more,” he moaned.

“We push them with fantastic football, but they should push us more.”

It was an extraordinary outburt from the Chelsea head coach, especially as they sang HIS praises during the match.

"Stand up for the 'Special One'," they bellowed - not good enough it seems him.

He did have the grace however to take partial credit for the victory.
“I did my bit off the pitch, the players did theirs on it, they won the game,” he said.
“I went to the changing room early to prepare my diagrams and explain the tactical changes I wanted to make.

I made one player change, but many tactical ones.

“It was a productive meeting. My only question was to decide which defender to take off.

In the end it was del Horno, as I wanted to keep pace in the defence.

“After the third goal I brought on Ferreira to control the game more.

“Bolton played well but we should have scored in the first half.

“We are not a boring side.

“I dislike international weeks as we can lose players - we lost Damien Duff and Arjen Robben for this match.

“But the squad is good and Carlton Cole got a chance."

Big Sam Allardyce or Mike Bassett as he is becoming known as said Chelsea should have being reduced to 10 men themselves.

Essien was only booked by ref Rob Styles when he crashed into Abdoulye Faye’s shin: “He should have gone, no doubt,” said Allardyce.

“It had a major influence in the game, when we went down to 10, Chelsea took full advantage of it.

The tackle was bad, but that with the loss of Gary Speed did not help us.

“We lost defensive quality in midfield.

“They then steamrollered us.

I expected our players to cope better but some naive defending and poor goalkeeping did not help.

“We did not have the players to weather the storm - they battered us.

The only way to beat Chelsea is to go ahead not after five minutes, like today, but five minutes from the end and then hang on.

“They are a great team, but they are also only human.”
